Here at Eye Express, we have everything you want when it comes to eyeglasses, and that includes not just a wide variety of designer frames, but also an assortment of our South Bronx eye lenses, including high index plastic, progressives, polycarbonate, aspheric, trivex, and photochromic.
Suppose you have a strong prescription that you need in order to see your best? Well, you may feel self-conscious about the thickness of the lenses. Even more concerning is that the number of frames you have available to you that will fit the lens size are very limited. With high index plastic and aspheric, you can get the same prescription in thinner lenses. Aspheric give you more consistent width throughout the lens, as opposed to high index plastic. Your vision will seem more natural due to that feature. Progressive lenses, or no-line bifocals as they are also known, will correct nearsightedness and farsightedness, with or without astigmatism, but unlike typical bifocal or trifocal lenses, there are no unsightly lines. As an added bonus, they give you sharp and clear vision in that crucial intermediate range between up close and far away. For those who need lenses that are more durable and can stand up to the possibility of scratches and impact, polycarbonate and trivex are the two types of our South Bronx eye lenses that give you those benefits. Trivex are a bit thicker than polycarbonate, but they are more lightweight and provide sharper vision, especially peripherally (side-to-side). And for the best of both eyeglasses and sunglasses, we have photochromic, which darken in the sunlight outdoors and then automatically lighten when indoors.
When you come in for an eye exam, our optical department will help you to select which of our South Bronx eye lenses is best suited to your lifestyle and your needs. Contact us to schedule an appointment.
